Past Honorable Mention Films

This course was first offered during the Fall semester of 2019 and again in the Spring of 2020. A formal film festival was not yet in the works, but students were creating important and thoughtful projects.

I wanted to highlight two particular films, one from each prior semester, here in this film festival as examples of honorable mention projects—both that happen to be student projects by female filmmakers.

“The Blind Leading the Blind” by Anna Forest

Honorable mention student film for Fall 2019

(before the film festival was created)

“Defining Normality” by Cristina Gardner

Honorable Mention Student Film for Spring 2020

(Before the creation of the film festival)
